From my windows, I can see the sky above and trees and people below. Seeing the ever-changing sky, I often recall Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh saying how all things are interrelated, like the cycle of —clouds—rain—river—clouds.

During the summer of 2013, wanting to celebrate the beauty and ever-changing nature of the sky, I decided to try to create one small sky painting, from start and finish, every day of the month of July. I almost managed it! Focusing fully on the sky for part of each day was a meditative practice. Ten of the more fully realized sky paintings are included here.
