After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Art (UArts) in 1961, my medium of choice was fabric appliqué and stitchery. I loved working with fabrics, because my dear Grandmom Bessie sewed. I created large fabric wall hangings until 1990, a time of major transition in my personal life. Then, wanting to explore life issues more spontaneously, I began painting with acrylics. This has continued to be my preferred art medium ever since.
