“In Celebration: A Family of Paintings” is my symbolic representation of the Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Spectrum. It is a grouping of twenty acrylic-painted letters, each attached to an acrylic-painted 5” x 5” fiber panel. Each letter panel was framed individually and labeled with its identifying name. Letters are meant to be arranged together and shown as a unified group.

The quote by Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, holds deep meaning for me, “I see you in me and I see myself in you.”

This group of paintings is part of a major series of paintings I am working on related to the oneness of us all and to self-identity.
